Singing and music to me is just that; it’s me. It gives me the most amazing feeling whether I am writing, performing or just listening. To write lyrics and melodies, or to work together with Tim on a piece is the most motivating time for me. As a young girl, I locked myself in my room with my radio and tape recorder and recorded myself singing all types of music. I used to do this not only as practice, but until I was happy with the sound and until I was happy that I could sing every single note properly. My voice is my instrument and I would challenge myself with the most difficult songs until I had mastered each one.I was quite a shy child, but with the realization that I had this wonderful talent, it gave me the confidence I needed to pursue the many musical experiences from bel canto choir, stage musicals, Australian youth music festivals, rock bands, cover bands, original bands, children’s music performance to songwriting. This road of discovery and experience has given me such a solid basis for my expression as a singer/ songwriter, and to create that with Tim and other like-minded musicians is a process that gives me so much pleasure, joy and energy. To perform my material in a live setting is a challenge I love to meet to create the full energetic sound that reflects the intended emotion of the song.My songwriting is very much a collaborative effort with my husband, Tim. We have this unique ability to create individual ideas but to meld them into a single piece that has quality and feel we are both very comfortable with. The recording process is an area I particularly enjoy, as every song goes through further changes as we explore the endless technical possibilities available in the studio, whilst maintaining that fresh, clean and honest feel we like to show in our material. Music is my life and with music, my life is good.
Jacquie has finally fulfilled her lifelong dream of writing and recording original material. After being trained, at a young age, in choir, stage musicals and vocal technique, Jacquie has spent many years performing in cover and original bands. Working closely along side her husband Tim, she now brings to the world songs that display her vocal range, dynamics and style.
After many years of experience in the music and entertainment industry, Jacquie admits that going into the studio again has ignited her passion for recording. She has really enjoyed the challenge of finding her true vocal style within her original music.
Jacquie may seem to have delayed her move into the recording studio, but due to her busy lifestyle with four children, performing, and a variety of other business ventures, she feels that she is totally in her element writing, recording and performing her own music.
Jacquie’s true love is singing and performing, and she is determined to continue to record and grow as a performer of original material. Jacquie is indebted to her friends and family who have provided so much support and love throughout her musical journey. Her most ardent desire is to have the opportunity to widen her listening audience.
